Just forget about the fact that Indiana Republican governor James Pence is leading the GOP fight to permit businesses in his state to decide if gay people meet the religious criteria of street front vendors.

Black folk in Indiana all to well remember the heydays of the Indiana Klu Klux Klan in their state. That was the group you’ll recall, Millennials, when white people in America decided what black people they were allowed to tar and feather. Worse yet: Lynch – Burn – and Hang.

Perhaps the Indiana governor felt re-fortified by his appearance on Rupert Murdoch’s FOX News morning show on Monday. Fox and Friends functions in an alternate universe of old white men, pretty legged ladies and hucksters peddling their books and GOP presidential aspirations.

Let’s not give Fox News all the credit for the shame that James Pence has brought upon himself, Indiana and the American notion of Life – Liberty – and the Pursuit of Happiness for all.

The political idea that  Republican presidential hopeful James Pence needs to Fix This and Fix This Now is besides the point.

The damage has already been done.

And not to the State of Indiana.
