Russia media news altered reality

B. reader writes. Complaints of the Ukraine reporting, it is misleading and false .I’ve been the past few months on site, have reported on the Maidan (yes, even on the extreme right), on Ukrainian volunteer battalions , the launch of the MH-17 ,the elections , the war, the victims of Donetsk.

His criticism also applies to me, so I will write back. What is so misleading ?, I ask. What mistakes did I do? Because I did that, I think is quite possible, probable even, everyone makes mistakes.

The question is, how serious they are and how I can correct it. An error will only be a lie, when he was made aware to conceal and deceive.

Mostly I write back detail. But, I write, there is evidence. There are Russian soldiers who return home in coffins from Ukraine and who are not allowed to talk about their suffering.

There are Russian NGOs like the Committee of Soldiers’ Mothers who are trying to see how many of their sons already died in Ukraine.There are reports such as that of the Armament Research Services , the Russian (and not only) were able to identify weapons in eastern Ukraine –

Apart from the fact that at the very least have to wonder if, within a few months, a bunch of local insurgents has a more professional army the Ukraine. There is Russian intelligence as Igor Girkin. He   was involved in the annexation of the Crimea and the war in eastern Ukraine.  Speaks openly about Russian tactics.

All confirmation from Putin

The list goes on and on. What there is not is an admission of Russian President Vladimir Putin that he is waging war in eastern Ukraine. And for many, nothing seems to be true to what Putin has not been confirmed.

But even the word of the Russian President does not always seem to be enough.It’s been months that Putin had admitted having sent his soldiers to the Crimea. But only now, when he spoke again it on Russian television , this fact seems really to arrive in Germany.

Just a year ago were media, especially the public broadcaster, addressed this when they pronounced the obvious. That Russian troops occupied the Crimea. Everyone who was there, it could see itself. Indeed, could even ask the soldiers afterwards. But to say or write? Insinuations! Prejudices! Lies!

The letter from Mr. B. is a phenomenon. Namely, the flight into relativism when it comes to Russian politics. Time, this relativization fed from the fear that Germany could be drawn into the war, sometimes from the distrust of the Americans get out of the hatred for them.  

Times of a perceived historical debt to Russia (which is, paradoxically, rare Ukrainians, Belarusians and Poles received). Times from Europe contempt; times of overload.

The relativization is a principle of propaganda, as it operates the Russian television, but long works about the Russian borders. Everything must be feasible and also the obvious seem like a variant of many.

The Russian state media make no mistake, they are lying. And when they are caught, as in the story of the child who was allegedly crucified by Ukrainian fascists, they do not care drum.

When I click on letters to the editor as the answer by Mr B., when I go into his arguments refute what is wrong, outer, which seems to me correct, then often develops an interesting dialogue.

And mostly it is clear that distrust and discomfort are the driving forces: What interests pursued by the Americans in Ukraine? Russia feels threatened not to right? Europeans have not made mistakes?

About all you can talk to about all that needs to be written. But the truth is that great, so often abused word, it is not always in the middle. She was not coming through correlation on the track.
