How to Destroy a Greek in Five Easy Steps

Ανδρέας Ζαμπούκας

The road we’ve taken with no return. Determinism no longer pays. This has cost us dearly our destruction. Even if in the coming days we have the temporary reprieve of a possible agreement. Nothing can guarantee its implementation.

The problem, however, is neither Lafazanis nor the various ministers who will resist the new agreement.

The problem is the people who will support them.

All these people who for one reason or another, are barricaded inside the walls – not hearing the sound of the builders.

I do not accept the separation imposed on the people by the YES and the NO. It is a construction and it is hypocritical. Rages for all those who have destroyed the average Greek in these years and decades which have passed.

In Five Steps – thrown us into the isolation warehouse  – constructing walls around us which we have never recognized.

First stage. School. Everything  based on the monstrosity of a Hellic dominant ideology that uses messianism and progonoplixia to eradicate the Responsibility of our Soul. There is nothing of the Ancient World with the Christian! The hypocritical education process has created the aloof – indifferent – nihilist Greek.

Second stage. Church. Across Europe, only we still continue to turn our focus to Fundamentalism. Only we did not proceed to the separation of church and state.  And only we acclaim our ancestral principles above our political and cultural values! The transfer of responsibility to God deprived it of ourselves.

Third stage. The political system. The networks, transactions, centralization, political inaction of the crowds and the Dictatorship of a singular Balkan oligarchy threw us out of the decisions.

We assigned the management of our lives to others and became an irresponsible mass mobilized with enthusiasm. But irresponsible – for a while – before and after the elections.

Fourth stage. The subculture and the media. We never developed urban cultural awareness. We carry our villages and Athenian provincialism as an ideology. This is spent on entertainment, lifestyle, our social transactions, political ideology.

Populism and kitsch adopted as substitutes for aesthetics and art. The private entertainment channels have put into our lives the lives of others and abolished ours. The subculture drove responsibility out of us by us as a living essence.

Fifth stage. The μικροκαπιταλιστική οικονομία : capitalist economy. They put us in capitalism without explaining to it us. Again, we went from the village to the city – from plow squares.

Is capitalist economy without productivity structures and bourgeois democracy? The neoplatonism and ignorance of obligations created an imaginary world of irresponsibility that could not last for long.

This Greek cannot work in the Western World. The isolation, the introversion, the error. Ignorance. Fantasies – the searching for slogans which make us unable to confer with others.

So we can apply neither measures nor decisions, nor agreements. Especially when they are run by the very people who deified character – the model that they themselves created.

We no longer hope for something. Only in shock to discover that inevitably we shall shall all suffer. And those who determine that we need a lesson – even while we were in the same room with them. The same expensive and unsustainable austerity we all will pay.
