Rupert Murdoch cashes in, Again

The Murdoch Empire’s Tabloid News Cycle strikes again with publication of just six seconds of film from way way back in the day 1933.

London, July 18 – Rupert Murdoch sits atop the most successful international publishing empire of the 21st century. He’s got American citizenship but he dabbles in the national politics of Britain, Australia and the United States.

The guy bought up the Wall Street Journal when it was a tired business journal with the same old same old. He wanted respectability.

And he go it.  Turning WSJ into  must read reporting on the business and political stuff Main Street wants to read in suburbia.

And when Rupert Murdoch wants to have a little fun he creates a splash he bets will turn into a furor.
Indignation sells.
Especially when indignation on the Murdoch front pages is all about The Royals

Murdoch Cashes In

 Murdoch Twists History, Again

SAYS THE SUN TABLOID:

The film is even more remarkable as — just seven years after it was made — George VI and Queen Elizabeth became inspirational figures of wartime defiance after visiting bombed-out Londoners during the Blitz of 1940.

At the time the future Queen Elizabeth, now 89, would have had no inkling of the implications of making a Nazi salute.

The original film remains under lock and key. But copies of the clip were made several years ago and one has now been handed to The Sun by a source who believes it to be of massive public interest and historical importance.
