Angela Merkel says Greece is Europe too

Home  /  Referendum Blue-White-BarBY KYLE ANDREW BROWN

Paris, February 20 – Angela Merkel and François Hollande definitely enjoy each other’s company. And they’ve been meeting together for lunch and dinner all over Europe this winter – even that quick dash in the night to Moscow.

Today’s déjeuner at the Elysee was all about resetting the speculative headlines that have been all the flutter with Greek financial speculation.

Bankruptcy? – – Maybe not.

Euro Exit? – – Call us after the monthly statements go out.

The little sit downs Greek Team Tsipras has with European leaders show Greece’s prime minister Alexis Tsipras to be a fresh – and brash – presence circulating among the aging heads of state that gather in Brussels. He’s the class show off everybody wants as a friend.

Sometimes he and his finance minister Yanis Varoufakis are in need a pink slip to go to the Principal’s Office.

Yanis! – – You simply cannot come to Brussels and tell your teachers you forgot your lunch money!

Yanis! – -You may not write an essay on the Implosion of Europe!

Alexis! – – Watch your language! You are Class President now!

The deal with Greece is the country’s allowance has already been spent. Let’s all remember it’s Europe that lets Greece into the School Canteen.  It’s such a nice place for the Germans and Brit’s to go to warm up. But the budget rates at the hotels don’t cover expenses.

Alexis – listen to Pappa. – – No more allowance until you do your chores!

Those rich North Europeans. They actually believe they have sacrificed their dessert to fund Greece.

Well, Team Tsipras, they understand.  It’s all paper money. Some bureaucrat in Brussels she keys in some extra zeros here and there on an electronic spread sheet.  Everybody gets rich.

Angela – baby! – says Alexis. Those big shot Dutch bankers – you don’t think they get a little something under the table each time we got our allowance?

The weakness of the Eurozone isn’t so much Greece.  As it is the maintaining the fiduciary fundamentals underpinning national currencies: Trust.

All the Eurozone is trying to maintain as it matures into the glue that fuels the European Union is ensuring continued belief in the unifying currency.

This is the stabilizing mechanism of Currency Union.

Financial accounting always needs offsetting entrys in the ledgers. How Angela and François post the corrections in the Greek accounts is what all the fuss is about.

Team Tsipras says to Brussels that Greece is always going to come to class. But the Syllabus has to be at Grade Level. We are are not going to be kept out of the Faculty Lounge – says Team Tsipras.

Enough of this having to wear shabby pants.
